I can’t believe no one commented on this yet, because it’s HYSTERICAL! Maybe no one else read Highlights when they were younger??

Thank you! I was starting to feel like maybe I hallucinated all those Goofus and Gallant strips from my childhood, ha ha. I’m glad someone else remembers them!

I just read your whole blog, i love it! You do rock and Goofus and Gallant, SVH style is the best ever. You should do more. It’s pretty fabulous.

Thank you so much! I was actually thinking about doing some more Goofus and Gallant stuff but it slipped my mind. Maybe I’ll give it some more thought now.

I read Goofus and Gallant. They used to be illustrated more storybook style, but now they’re cartoon-like, and they kind of look dumb!

Oh, I know. I went to the bank a few weeks ago and there was a Highlights magazine there. I immediately looked for Goofus and Gallant and was really not happy with the way it looks now.

Amazing what the creative mind can do when bored! Goofus and Gallant were my favorites when I was a kid (100 years ago)!

Is it just me, or is the girl on the right, pictured with Gallant-Elizabeth, a perfect model for hipsters? She could be in an American Apparel ad.
